MEMORY MARKS
DIANA ORINDA BURNS & ROBYN GIBSON
03-26 OCTOBER 2025
An exhibition of prints by Diana Orinda Burns and Robyn Gibson
This exhibition invites audiences to reflect on their own experiences of nature through the eyes of two printmakers who live and work on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. With curiosity and a deep emotional connection to the land, Diana Orinda Burns and Robyn Gibson capture the essence of place and the memories it evokes.
Burns explores the colour yellow—a hue that signals the passing seasons and dominates the local landscape. Her layered collagraphs are meditations on light, time and atmosphere.
Gibson uses mono printing techniques to translate the shapes, sounds and textures she encounters while walking through the Castlemaine Forest. Through repetition, she creates rhythmic and intuitive compositions that trace her journey and connection to place.
