Our story

Fossickers Fine Food & Eatery has been created by local residents, Felicity Martin & Greg Stevens who moved to a little miners cottage in Talbot in 2017. I remember our very first visit to London House when it was the Talbot Provedore & Eatery and the building had such a great vibe, with large windows, high ceilings overlooking the tiny heritage town and community garden.

When the building sat vacant for over a year, it really impacted on the town, which missed having a central hub to meet and provide a unique experience for visitors. As locals we want the town to thrive and so we talked about setting up a place that would showcase the incredible regional produce, supporting small-batch, artisinal farmers and producers as well as provide a place to support local and regional artists, while sharing the stories of our region through food and creativity.

Fossickers Fine Food & Eatery includes a provedore area where people can take away wine and food from our local producers and farmers as gifts or for themselves, a petite creative space to share stories through exhibitions and installations and a wine and espresso bar that incorporates many of the local suppliers, giving people an opportunity to try before they buy.

The Folk Experiment

is an exhibition and installation space that showcases local and regional artists and creatives. We have an exhibition program that changes every couple of months.

We’re always looking for talented individuals for our exhibitions and provedore, please contact us if you are interested.
