Duolian is a vintage blues trio from central Victoria, combining Sean McConnell on guitar and vocals, Skip Sail on guitar, and Matthew Bishop on drums. Their focus is on the early electric blues of the Mississippi Delta. They perform those classic songs, but always with a focus on unexpected improvisation, and on the addition of impressionistic sounds which evoke the Mallee wind as it haunts the trees, pushes on rusty gates, and passes over old machinery—the sound of their own rural Australia.”
